ADHD Counselling Mandurah.
Practical support for busy brains and overloaded lives
Living with ADHD can feel like having twenty browser tabs open and no idea which one is playing the music. Tasks pile up, time disappears and advice that sounds simple to everyone else somehow creates another job.
Kerry Abbott provides ADHD counselling in Mandurah for people experiencing overwhelm, emotional intensity, organisation difficulties, relationship strain and the exhaustion of trying to keep up.
Sessions focus on understanding how ADHD affects your particular life and finding practical strategies that can survive contact with the real world.
You can attend from Impello’s professional office in Mandurah or connect by telehealth. Mobile counselling is available across the Mandurah region, including Halls Head, Greenfields, Meadow Springs, Falcon and Dawesville.
ADHD Is About More Than Concentration
The struggle is often hidden behind effort
ADHD can affect planning, emotions, relationships, confidence and the ability to begin or finish tasks. Many people become skilled at hiding how difficult things feel, then wonder why ordinary life is so exhausting.

Overwhelm & confidence
Knowing what needs to be done does not always make starting possible. Counselling can help you break demands into workable steps and understand what causes you to become stuck.
Emotional intensity
Frustration, rejection and criticism may land hard and linger. Kerry can help you notice emotional patterns, understand your triggers and create more room between the feeling and the reaction.
Time & organisation
Appointments, deadlines and routines can become a constant source of pressure. Sessions can explore realistic systems based on how you function, your responsibilities and the environments you move through.
ADHD Support Shaped Around Your Life
There is no universal ADHD routine waiting to transform everyone who buys the correct notebook. Kerry works collaboratively with you to identify where life becomes difficult and which changes are realistic.

ADHD Counselling FAQs.
Do I need a formal ADHD diagnosis?
No. You can discuss attention, organisation, overwhelm and emotional regulation without having a diagnosis. Counselling may help you understand your experience and decide whether seeking a formal assessment would be useful.
Can counselling help after a late ADHD diagnosis?
Yes. A later diagnosis can bring relief, grief, anger and a new understanding of past experiences. Counselling gives you room to process that adjustment and consider what support you need now.
Can ADHD counselling help with anxiety?
ADHD and anxiety can overlap. Missed deadlines, uncertainty, masking and constant mental effort may create ongoing pressure. Kerry can help you explore how these experiences interact.
Can ADHD affect relationships?
Yes. Forgetfulness, emotional reactions, communication differences and uneven responsibilities can cause tension. Counselling can help you understand these patterns and communicate your needs more clearly.
