Ongoing one-to-one work for people navigating a transition - role, relationship, menopause, identity or loss. A life coaching session will challenge you to think about where you want to go, who you want to be, and will assist you to get there, from where you are today. Your Impello coach will follow a well recognised coaching process.
The coach works with you to provide the following support:
  • Identifying strengths and inspirations (a 360 activity process or personality profiling exercise may be used to enhance this phase);
  • Identify what is missing for change;
  • Help you to set SMARTER goals;
  • Challenge you to take actions to achieve your personal goals; and
  • Support you to be able to self coach going forward.
Coaching typically takes place face to face with some additional support by telephone conversations. However, if you prefer or need to, we can do some sessions remotely. Email is not typically used as a coaching tool, although it may be utilized for information transfer to support the process.

Meditation & Stillness

Practical, gentle practices to steady the nervous system and return you to the present Learn it once, keep it for life Extensive scientific research shows that meditation provides measurable mental and physical benefits. Clinical studies and neuroimaging demonstrate that consistent practice reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, improves attention and memory, and helps manage anxiety, depression, and sleep issues. Sessions are tailored to client needs. Kerry is certified to facilitate Pranayama, Breath Development and Meditation (for example: Shodhana and Chandra Bhedana) Clients may elect to participate in a once off session, or take advantage of a 20% discount if six sessions are booked in advance as a package. The latter enables clients to experience a variety of methods. Please Note: Sessions to be utilised within three months of booking. Meditation positions range from laying down, seated, inside, outside and beachside. This accommodates those whom may have restricted physical movement.

Yoga

No tangled pretzels in these sessions Studies show that regular practice improves flexibility, builds muscle strength, and enhances overall balance. It also helps lower stress hormones like cortisol, reduces anxiety and depression symptoms, and supports heart health. Kerry is a qualified yoga teacher and is passionate about combining the physical mat yoga time with the other seven limbs of the yoga way of being. Kerry can also work collaboratively with clients being supported by Doctors and Psychiatrists for Trauma. Trauma-sensitive yoga is an effective complementary treatment for reducing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression symptoms. Clinical studies demonstrate that yoga significantly lowers PTSD severity, depression, and anxiety. Yoga helps reset a hyperactive autonomic nervous system, lowering stress hormones like cortisol and improving heart rate variability. Trauma often causes people to feel disconnected from their physical bodies (dissociation). Yoga builds interoceptive awareness, teaching survivors how to safely tolerate physical sensations.

Art Therapy

Pablo Picasso: "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." Art therapy is a form of treatment that uses creative expression as a means of improving mental and emotional well-being. It is a holistic approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit, and seeks to address issues on all three levels Art therapy can be used to help individuals cope with a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, as well as physical challenges such as chronic pain or disability. Clients report reduced stress, improved mental and emotional well-being, and support toward their physical healing While art therapy is a relatively new field, it has a rich history and is supported by a growing body of research Impello has an expansive and detailed program, which is tailored to clients passions and needs.
